Access

The journey to the port is long, but once you arrive, we’re just around the corner.

Access to Entô is not particularly convenient, and you’ll need to take a ferry. In an age when we can easily travel anywhere by plane, getting here is still a journey in itself. We hope you’ll embrace the time it takes to arrive, including the hours spent traveling and the changing landscapes along the way, as part of the unique Entô experience. While the journey to the nearest port, Hishiura, is long, Entô is just a 3-minute walk from the port.

Where Entô is Located

Oki Islands is made up of 2 main regions called ‘Dōzen’ and ‘Dōgo’. Entô is located on Dōzen, which became a caldera 6 million years ago due to volcanic activity. As a result of Earth’s powerful natural phenomenon, a place of magnificent landscapes and views was born. Dōzen’s 3 islands - Nakanoshima, Nishinoshima, and Chiburijima - surround its own inland sea. These 3 islands are part of the volcano’s outer rim, and the gentle inland sea was formed due to seawater flowing in and filling up the sunken part of the caldera.
