Food
Local delicacies and seasonal ingredients – a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Indulge in a variety of Oki’s specialties, including shiro-ika (white squid), hondawara (a type of seaweed unique to Oki), iwa-gaki (rock oyster) known as "Haruka" in Ama Town, oki-gyū (Oki beef), kojōyu miso (soybean paste), fukugi-cha (tea made from the spicewood tree), saki-mikan (mandarin oranges from Saki Village, Ama Town) and much more.
Open the Entô Dining menu and you will find a wide variety of dishes featuring the bounty of Oki—ingredients nurtured by the rich sea surrounding the islands, where warm and cold currents meet, and by the fertile land created by volcanic activity. Each course is prepared using seasonal ingredients, so every time you visit, there’s always something new to discover.
Most of the ingredients we use are sourced from island producers or are grown and gathered by the staff who work at our hotel. Living on a small island that may not have everything, we believe in working together to make everything possible despite their limits. The people of this island, with their unique culture, are an essential part of Entô Dining. Visitors enjoy the food, and the farmers and fishermen smile in return. We aim to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with everyone.

Entô Dining
Entô Dining doesn't follow any specific culinary category.
What we take pride in is using seasonal ingredients at their best. In the past, eating fresh food from the land and sea all year round was normal, but today, it’s considered a special luxury—something you can enjoy here in Ama Town.

We use fresh seaweed harvested from the sea right in front of our hotel to make rice crackers. The branches of the fukugi (spicebush tree) grown on the island are used to smoke our famous white squid. At Entô, we take simple, tasty ingredients and add a few unique touches to maximize their flavor.

To accompany your memorable meal, you can choose from a range of selected wines, sake (Japanese rice wine) brewed here in the Oki Islands or mandarin orange juice from Saki Village, Ama Town.

Course Dinners (change with the seasons)

The main dish will be cooked in front of you on a hot plate by one of our expert chefs and will feature a selection of fresh, locally-grown ingredients. If you have allergies or any foods you cannot eat, please inform us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your dietary requirements.
