How do I make a booking for accommodation?

How can I make a dinner reservation?
We have a dedicated reservation website for Entô Dining. (Reservations must be made by the day before your visit.)

Please note that seating is limited, so we recommend booking as early as possible. If Entô Dining is fully booked, please refer to the next FAQ, "Are there any restaurants nearby?" for dining options on the island.
Are there any restaurants nearby?
There are several restaurants located about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We strongly recommend making a reservation in advance, as there are only a limited number of restaurants on the island.

How can I make a reservation for breakfast?

The reservation should be made by the day before check-in.
If you have already requested breakfast when making your accommodation reservation, there is no need to make a separate reservation through the above form.
If you have any food allergies, please let us know when making your reservation.
What is your cancellation policy?
When does a cancellation fee apply?
Will there be a penalty I need to pay if my mode of transportation is cancelled or delayed, and I cannot get to your island to stay?
Cancellation charges will be calculated as follows: -
◇ 15 days before the date of stay – free
◇ 8 – 14 days before the date of stay – 20%
◇ 2 – 7 days before the date of stay – 50%
◇ 1 day before/on the day/no show – 100%

If cancellation fees are specified in your accommodation plan or booking terms, those will apply. For more details, please refer to the reservation page. However, if your cancellation is due to flight or ferry cancellations caused by bad weather, no cancellation fee will be charged.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 15:00. Check-out time is 10:00 for guests staying in the main building BASE and 11:00 for guests staying in the annex building NEST.
What kind of activities can I do there?
There are many activities to enjoy here, including nature experiences in the mountains and at sea, as well as cultural activities where you can learn about the life and history of the people of the Oki Islands. For more information, please visit

How can I explore the Dōzen area (Ama Town, Nishinoshima Town, Chibu Village)?
The islands in the Dōzen area are connected by two types of naikō-sen ferries (inter-island), making it possible to explore each island on a day trip from Ama Town, where Entô is located. For more information about the inter-island ferries, please visit this website.

One of the ferries, called Ferry Dōzen, can also transport vehicles.

For getting around on each island, options include rental cars, rental bicycles (E-bikes), and sightseeing taxis. For more information on transportation options on each island, please check the Oki Islands' official travel guide website, Visit Oki Islands.

Please note that the number of rental vehicles and other transport options is limited, so we recommend making reservations as early as possible.
Is there a rental car company on the island?

Do you have a carpark? How much is the parking fee?
There is free parking in front of the hotel. Please feel free to use it during your stay.
How can I get to your hotel?
There are three ways to reach Ama Town:

1. Oki-Kisen Line Standard Ferry (Kuniga, Shirashima, Oki)

2. Oki Kisen Fast Ferry (Rainbow Jet)

3. Japan Airlines Flight (JAL)

From the mainland, you can fly directly from either Itami Airport in Osaka or Izumo Airport in Shimane Prefecture. If you choose to fly, you will need to take a ferry from Saigō Port in Okinoshima Town (Dōgo) to Hishiura Port in Ama Town (Dōzen).

It's a long journey, but once you arrive at Hishiura Port, Entô is just a three-minute walk from the terminal.

Can I leave my luggage before check-in?
We can store your luggage free of charge.

You can drop it off starting from 7:00 on the morning of your stay. After your stay, luggage must be picked up by 22:00 on the same day. Alternatively, you can leave your luggage at the Ama Town Tourism Association office, located inside the Hishiura Port terminal building. (Opening hours: 7:30-19:00, hours may vary depending on the season.)
Do you have a special accommodation rate for children?
For room rates, children under the age of 12 will be charged a facility usage fee instead of the full room rate. Children aged 13 and over are considered adults.
How can I pay for my accommodation?
You can pay for your room either when making a booking with a credit card, or at check-out using cash, credit card, or electronic money i.e. transportation IC cards (e.g. Suica, Pasmo, Icoca), Rakuten Edy, WAON, nanaco, QuickPay, and QR payments (such as PayPay and Rakuten Pay).
Do you accept luggage sent using a delivery service?
Yes, we do.
Please send your luggage to our hotel via pre-paid delivery. Make sure to include your full name, date of stay, and contact details on the dispatch docket.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we do.
It is free for all guests to use.
Will my room be cleaned every day during my stay?
For guests staying multiple nights, in order to promote environmental sustainability and ensure a more relaxing stay, we offer cleaning services upon request only.
Can I smoke in the building?
The entire hotel is a non-smoking zone. If you wish to smoke, please use the designated smoking area.
Is there a curfew for accessing the hotel after check-in?
There is no curfew for accessing the hotel after check-in. Guests are free to come and go as they please at any time during their stay. However, please be aware that the front doors are locked for security purposes at 22:00. If you plan to return after the front desk closes, please let us know in advance so we can provide you with a key or access instructions.
Is there a public bath (onsen)?
There are two bathing areas on the first floor of the main building (BASE): a small indoor hot spring bath and a larger bath. They are available from 15:00 to 9:00 the following morning.

Please note that the baths alternate between male and female use to allow all guests to enjoy both baths during their stay. The onsen is closed for an hour during the switch around 23:00 to midnight.
Do you have room service?
We do not offer room service, but we have a bar time service where you can enjoy drinks and snacks in the comfort of your room. You can place your order between 15:00–17:30 and 19:00–22:00 (times may vary).
Do you have a laundry service?
There is a coin laundry in the communal area of the 1st floor of the main building, BASE. We do not have a specialist dry-cleaning service.
Can I stay here with my pet?
We are sorry, but pets are not allowed in the hotel. We do not have any rooms where guests and pets can stay together.
Is there any cafe nearby?
The restaurant called Sentoraru-tei at the 2nd floor of the Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk from Entô. You can enjoy meals and coffee there from 11:00 to 15:00.

There is also another cafe called Kura within 3-minute walking distance.

Are there any convenience stores or supermarkets nearby?
There are no convenience stores on the island. However, at Hishiura Port, which is a 3-minute walk away, you will find a shop called Shimaja Jōshiki-ten, where you can buy groceries, souvenirs, and other items. Additionally, there are several small shops within a 10-minute walk that sell groceries and various goods. Please note that the operating hours of these shops are limited, with some closing by the evening or being closed on Sundays. We recommend checking their hours in advance and completing any necessary shopping during the day.

Inside Entô, there is also a shop offering souvenirs, drinks, and a special selection of goods.
