Entô is borderless.
The Earth, born 4.6 billion years ago, and the Oki Archipelago, formed 660 million years ago, are both deeply connected. Humans first arrived in the Japanese archipelago 30,000 years ago, and Oki became a place of exile 1,000 years ago. In 2013, Oki was designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark, and today it stands as a place where you can connect with the Earth through the Oki Islands.
Take a journey to Oki and experience the timeless essence of the Earth. We are all part of this planet, and at Entô, there are no boundaries—between inside and outside, between people and nature. Gaze out of your window to see the islands before you and the vast sea beyond. Step outside and immerse yourself in nature, stroll through the town, and rediscover yourself at the Geopark. This is a one-of-a-kind Entô experience that can't be found anywhere else.
Entô Activity
Explore the island's beauty by walking along a peaceful satoyama (a traditional rural landscape) footpath or taking a gentle trek up a low mountain. Get close to the sea with underwater observation boats, sea scooters, and pack rafts. Ride through the town and mountains on an E-bike to experience the island's way of life. Discover the fascinating story of the island's unique nature—something that can't be fully appreciated with just a quick glance.

Entô Walk
Are you a nature lover who enjoys good food and watching people come and go? If so, you'll love Entô Walk! While the experience is enjoyable on its own, learning about the background and charm of the island will enhance your trip. The friendly and knowledgeable Entô staff are here to provide insight into the exhibition of Entô and the surrounding scenery. The entire experience lasts approximately 40 minutes and is free to attend without the need for reservations. The walk starts at 16:00 throughout the year, although the timing may be subject to change. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the Entô Geo Office at 08514-2-2365

E-bike
Take a moment to experience the beauty of nature that often goes unnoticed while driving. Why not take the time to truly appreciate the changing seasons and the flow of time on a leisurely walk? It can be quite enjoyable to embark on a journey with no set destination and simply let nature guide you. A trip where you can feel the breeze and the scent of nature directly will undoubtedly become a cherished memory. The activity lasts about 3 hours and should be reserved in advance.

Underwater Observation Boat “Amanbow”
Amanbow is an underwater observation boat that allows you to experience the connection between land and sea. The course takes you to the Dozen Caldera terrain full of interesting marine resources. You can feel the fresh sea breeze while observing the beautiful scenery. The tour takes approximately 50 minutes. The activity is available from April to October. Prior booking is recommended as the number of seats is limited.

Private Cruising (Japanese Only)
Experience the thrill of cruising on a private boat. There are 3 separate courses to choose from: sunrise, sunset, and night-time cruise. The sea offers a unique excitement that can only be experienced when out on a boat. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the caldera while interacting with a veteran local captain who is well-versed in the sea of Oki. This private cruising experience accommodates up to six people. A child above the age of 3 years can participate.

Campfire
Come sit around the open fire under the stars. Relax by watching the fire, chat with other people, or seek advice about your travel plans from the staff who are there to oversee the fire. The service is offered on nights when the Amanbow night cruise is not scheduled. Weather permitting. No need for a prior booking. Free of charge.

Underwater Observation Boat “Amanbow” Night Cruise
Ama Town, with fewer street lights, the sea is pitch black as the observation boat Amanbow moves leisurely on the water. However, there is a sparkling, fantastical world under the sea, just like a planetarium. Bioluminescent plankton floats silently in the ocean, glowing in time with the ripples made by the boat. Surrounded by the calm sea, you can experience the feeling of floating on the sea while gazing at the light of the starry sky. Duration: 35 minutes [The activity is available from April to October. The operation schedule is decided about a month in advance. Prior booking is recommended as the number of seats is limited.]

Once You Arrive by Boat, Head Straight to the Tourist Office
You may be curious about Oki, Dōzen, and Ama Town – their unique places and people. Learning more will make your stay and activities even more enjoyable and inspire you to explore more! We’re here to provide helpful information to make your travels easier. You can also leave your luggage at the office. If you're ready to start your adventure right away, we can take your luggage to your room while you dive straight into exploring, without needing to go through Entô.

Concierge Living on the Island
Visit the person who grew those vegetables. Go to the best spot for stargazing. Head to that breathtaking view where it feels like the Earth is laid bare. Don’t just stick to the usual sights in the guidebook – go deeper, into the heart of island life. The local tourism association, Geopark staff, and hotel staff, all living here on the island, are eager to share places you might not reach on your own. Feel free to ask us for recommendations!
Geo Room “Discover”
"To make your experience of observing geopark more interesting and memorable, it is advisable to have a good understanding of the subject matter. Before embarking on any activity or tour, make sure to visit the "Discover" exhibition room in the Geo Room. The concise explanations and monochromatic objects on display serve as an invitation to the diverse and fascinating world that lies outside the window."
